Ok currently I’m a nanny to four kids ages 10 months, 5, 6, and 7. Its girl, boy, girl, boy. Anyways this is the third family I’ve been a nanny to before it was a 3, 4, and 7 year old girl and before that twin 6 month old boys and I’ve also worked at 2 daycare centers once in the newborns room and then in the 18mo to 3 years group. Anyways I LOVE LOVE LOVE my job and when I go home I miss those kids soooooooooooooooooo badly! Anyways its very hard I’l admit I’m usually wiped out (also I work as a home healthcare aide from 3pm on fridays straight til 9am sunday I do get 7 hours sleep a night there tho) I work the nanny job Monday through Thursdays. At my job as a nanny I do dishes (by hand), clean countertops, mop, sweep, sanitize toys, clean the highchair every tinme I turn around, do laundry, everything plus set up arts and crafts for the kids and cook homemade meals. I love the kids dearly and being with them really makes me want a family of my own but my husband and I are waiting until I get through nursing school (I start school again this August). Anyways problem is everytime I tell my friends and family this they say I’ll change my mind that being a nanny isnt the same as being a mom and that I dont know what hard work is. Well yes I know being a mom is a 24 hour job but you cant tell me my job isnt an indicator! I’m doing everything the mom would do if she was home not only that besides making bottles changing diapers controlling fighting kids I take them out to the zoo and the park I slather on their sunscreen make sure their drinking water get the home for nap time I worry about them the same. And by time the mom gets home guess what its bed time and shes gone before theyre up! So please explain to me how everyone is so convinced I know nothing about what I’m talking about? Yes I know being a mom will be more intense but I think I can gauge my feelings decently from my job!
BTW Nursing School is something I’m doing because 1. If for some reason my husband loses his job because of the economy I can stop being a SAHM and we wont be broke and 2. Once my kids are in school I would go back to work. I wanna work in NICU! Which I know is extra training btw.
unique wedding favors

Ok, I have anxiety and depression… but it has nothing to do with “not enjoying what you used to enjoy” – because this is just what I NEED to do. My house is a mess. Things are not very organized (they are in piles at best) – except for most of the closets.

I have 4 kids ages 7, 6, 2 & 7 mths. I have a job chart for them in the morning in which they get dressed, make beds, feed pets & other basic things. My husband is not great at helping out consistently, but occasionally, he tries. When the kids get home, sometimes I have them do clean ups, but only when I get a little motivated.

My husband is fed up with the mess and my lack of motivation to do it (or keep up with it!) – and I agree. I’m fed up too. But, I just don’t see the benefits of cleaning if it will just be messed up by my kids & husband by the end of the day.

I also struggle with making dinner because my husband is ULTRA picky and my kids are just kids. So, I have a hubby that eats a little, then eats some bread or whatever an hour later, and kids that complain and say how horribly gross it is. I end up eating half of the dish because I feel sad I spent the time to make it for just myself in the end. So, I don’t cook very often at all.

Has anyone EVER experienced this? What did you do to get over it? I’m going to counseling/therapy for my anxiety, and when I start, I plan on telling the therapist about this also.

HELP!
wedding speeches
