No one actually likes those annoying kids from the suburbs who can’t even microwave their own ramen, it’s just that, thanks to Oprah, SAHMs have way more influence in the “mommy media” than they should.

Kids in the suburbs generally have access to more money, resources and a more stable family structure which the court and the prosecution will look at when determining alternative punishment. Additionally, schools in the suburbs are better funded and less likely to have ongoing criminal issues (which is usually just a few very bad apples) than inner city schools, allowing them to justify and carry out more lenient punishments.

Suburban kids are 100% no more smart than inner city kids, and generally they are lazier and have a significant sense of entitlement. However they are more likely to have parents who make more money and have a higher involvement in the child’s life (whether or not they’re doing a good job), more likely to have started school earlier, and less likely to be in an environment where dropping out of school is expected or socially acceptable.
