Anyway, he sleeps from about 8:30PM to 8 or 8:30 AM. I go to bed around midnight and don't get up until he does. I put her down at 8:00 pm. I had a friend who did the same thing as you (because her hubby worked the graveyard shift) and what she told me was that her son was a mess all day because he would be up so late. Of course he was sleeping until noon the next day but he still had a hard time. Plus she told me that it was hard for them to do anything because they got up so late. Obviously do what is best for your family. But if you could get him on a more coventional schedule, then he wont have a hard time adjusting when he needs to go to bed and get up early for preschool.
