I am about to turn 27 and am graduating with my bachelor’s degree in Feb. By the time I get all my prerequisites done, I’ll be 29 and may or may not get into the program that year. I have been in school since I was 18. I have done a PTA degree, some nursing courses, and am finishing my Bachelor of Worship Ministry degree. I am a person that is gifted in two totally different areas: music ministry and health care. What I have found from all this is that I can’t choose between the two or I will never be satisfied. So now… I feel like I should go all the way in Physical Therapy, the health care field I am passionate about. Do you guys think it is worth is to start this late? I may not be done until I am 33-34 years old. My husband and I have been married for six years, we don’t have a desire to have kids right now, and he is going for his MBA soon. Any advice or insights would be greatly appreciated!

That’s a pretty average age for beginning a doctorate. Some students may be much older. I’m not sure what one would do with a doctorate in physical therapy, since most physical therapists just have bachelors degrees, but maybe that’s just me.
